Berkshire Organic Gardeners

Berkshire Organic Gardeners hold regular meetings at RISC in Reading and are affiliated to Garden Organic and the Soil Association.

The aims are:

• To interest people, in particular gardeners and allotments holders, in organic methods of horticulture
• To encourage the growing of vegetables and fruit free from additives and potentially harmful chemicals

Members receive:

• regular newsletters containing horticultural news, topical tips and details of events
• advice from committee members, who include qualified horticulturalists
• meetings, talks and demonstrations
• garden meetings and outings in the summer
• plant and seed exchange between members
• savings on seeds, compost and other gardening sundries by bulk buying

The meetings are informal and are held at approximately monthly intervals with talks and demonstrations on topics of general interest to gardeners. Plenty of time is allowed for general discussion and for the sharing of problems and successes.
