Friends of the Emm Brook

During 2005 conservationists in Wokingham were busy helping "Protect and Enhance the Emm Brook and its Floodplain for Wildlife and People". Formed in 2004, the group has prepared an overall strategy for the management of the brook and is now beginning to develop more detailed plans for the various sections of river. They are carrying out monitoring activities of wildlife and plants, mapping the brook and all its tributaries and are to carry out conservation tasks once the detailed plans have been agreed.
