Rushall Manor Farm

Situated in the heart of the Pang Valley, Rushall Manor Farm is the home of the John Simonds Trust, an educational charity with a desire to promote a love and understanding of farming and the countryside. In partnership with the Pang Valley Countryside Project, the Trust welcomes around 6,000 children a year to the farm and other sites in the Valley.

Rushall Manor Farm enables visitors to compare new with old by exploring the old agricultural techniques alongside a modern largescale lambing and grain processing operation. Throughout the year the site is used extensively for a large range of activities by youth groups, churches, scouts and parents.

The working farm has an outstanding reputation for conservation, maintaining 100 acres of woodland alongside the 800 acres farmed. This mixed farm of sheep, cattle and cereals is in the process of conversion to organic methods of production and seeks to maintain a high standard of care for wildlife and the environment.

The dedicated team of staff offer children hands-on experience of the countryside with activities carefully tailored to the particular needs of visitors. Enquiries to the John Simonds Trust on 0118 974 4547 or e-mail JST@rushallfarm.org.uk or visit www.rushallfarm.org.uk/
