Evergreen 2000 Trust is a voluntary community initiative, based on the Dove House Green, Lynch Hill Thicket and Lynch Valley areas of Britwell, which aims to save our precious natural environment and wildlife by conserving sites of special value for the benefit of local people. In April 2000 it merged with Friends and Neighbours of Cocksherd Wood in recognition of the geographical, historical and membership links of the two groups and to enhance the future status of the Trust in representing these important ancient woodland and wildlife sites in north west Slough. The Evergreen 2000 Trust is affiliated to the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and has links with several other conservation and natural environment organisations throughout the UK. Local people interested in becoming involved in the management of these sites or who would like to support the aims of the project should contact Evergreen 2000 at P O Box 204, Slough SL2 2QE or telephone 01753 550764.
