The Look Out Discovery Centre is situated amidst 2,600 acres of Crown Estate woodland with an extensive network of forest walks and nature trails. Together with remnants of the original Berkshire heathland the area forms a valuable habitat for many species of insects, bats, flowers and birds. The Countryside Rangers, based at the Look Out, run a year round programme of walks and special events.
There is ample free parking at the Centre which offers a hands on Science and Nature exhibition, gift shop, coffee shop, tourist information centre and also a picnic area. If you prefer, you can hire a mountain bike to explore the many miles of paths. Tel 01344 772797 for further details.
